John J. Hindera, JD, PhDCriminal Defense & Family Law AttorneyJohn was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1970. After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1975, he went on to earn several advanced degrees: a Bachelor of General Studies (Science) in 1984 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Master of Public Administration in 1986 from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Political Science in 1989 from the University of Houston, a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science in 1990 from the University of Houston, and a Juris Doctorate in 2002 from Texas Tech University. Throughout his career as a college professor, he received numerous teaching awards, but it was law that ultimately became his true passion. As one local judge aptly remarked, "That guy's going to plead his case no matter what."
